Learn how to run traceability reports to track-and-trace nonconformities
Run Traceability Reports
When performing inspections and audits to improve quality, one of the most important questions you might have is, "Which parts inspected have been affected by this newly identified defect?". Identifying and tracing quality defects is where WorkClout traceability reports can be beneficial. You can now run, and export custom traceability reports from your inspections to identify affected parts and improve quality management. Setting up your form templates to start capturing useful traceability data can be done in 3 easy steps.
Step 1 - Create and add Admin Keys onto form fields
The first step to effective traceability is to ensure that WorkClout can identify the form fields that contain the form data using unique Admin Keys. Admin Keys are used to store and reference data throughout WorkClout, which includes traceability reports. The best way to create an easily identifiable admin key is to relate the admin key to the data collected. Below is a tutorial on how to create effect admin keys.
Note: Admin Keys created, edited, or deleted are versioned along with the rest of the form template.
Step 2 - Capture form data using inspections
The second step to setting up traceability is to perform inspections using the form templates containing the form fields with unique admin keys. Performing these inspections will allow WorkClout to track and trace form data that is collected over time.
Step 3- Run Traceability reports using Admin Keys
Now that you have completed multiple inspections using form templates with unique admin keys, you can run insightful traceability reports. To run a custom traceability report, go to Analytics > Traceability and select your parameters. Below is a tutorial on how to get run traceability reports.
Lastly, you can filter by custom date ranges on the report page and export the traceability report as a .csv file for reference.
We hope that by introducing Admin Keys and Traceability Reports, you can quickly identify and trace quality defects back to their source with little effort.
Note: Traceability reports can only track using the fields defined below. We plan on releasing the ability to track additional fields in a future update.
